Easy black bean patties

I love a good bean burger! There are lovely ones in many supermarkets but I always feel guilty when I buy them because it is really easy to make them at home. This recipe is super simple and makes amazing patties. You could mix, instead of using 2 cans of black beans, use different types, your choice. You can also use different spices according to your taste (for example, smoked paprika and coriander instead of cumin).

Time: 1h 20 minutes

Type: burgers

Difficulty: 1.5 pans

Makes: about 6 to 8 patties

2 garlic cloves, chopped

2 cans black beans

2 tbsp nutritional yeast

1 tbsp soya sauce

1 tsp cumin

1 tsp garam massala

1/2 tsp chilli powder (optional)

salt to taste

Peel and cut carrots in smalls chunks and place them in the food processor; pulse until shredded; add all the remaining ingredients and spices (and little water); pulse until it forms a well combined paste;

Shape into patties and place into a baking tray (non-stick or lined with parchment paper); place in the fridge or freezer for at least 30 minutes;
